The school was in complete silence due to the mid-term examinations. The form 4 students started their examinations on Wednesday (11th May 2016) with English Paper 1 and Paper 2 as starters. While the form 4 and form 5 students are having their exams, the form 1, form 2 and form 3 students had their last-minute revisions.

On that note, the school launched the JUARA Programme for the form 3 and form 5 students that will be seating for their PT3 and SPM examinations on October and November respectively. This programme was launched on Monday (9th May 2016) by the principal, Dr. Puvanendran a/l Maruthavanar.

The annual Founder's Day celebration was held on Friday (13th May 2016) during the school assembly. The celebration was launched by the principal, Dr. Puvanendran, Brother Ambrose Augustine Loke, Brother Andrew Loke Yew Wah and Tuan Megat Mizan Nicholas Denney. Performance such as the Onward St. John's for the deaf was performed by the Upper Form Six students.

Finally, the annual International Understanding Day organised by the St. John's Institution Interact Club will be held on 28th May at HELP College of Arts and Technology with the theme Abandoned Mortals. Seek the Board of Directors for more information.

Also the Leaps of Knowledge conference will also be on the 28th of May 2016 at JW Marriott Hotel, Bukit Bintang with the theme YOUR WORLD REIMAGINED. This conference is organised by the FrogAsia and YTL Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the United Nations. Go to www.leapsofknowledge.com for more information.

That is all for this week's update. Good luck!
